Baseball Recap: Weaver Comes Up Short

Weaver lost against Jacksonville Christian Academy back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bearcats might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 7-5 to the Thunder, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Bearcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ethan Hamilton spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and five unearned) runs on six hits and racked up 11 Ks.

On the hitting side, Gage Brown made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. That home run marked the first that he launched this season. Jalen Kendall was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 4-for-4.

Weaver's loss dropped their record down to 10-21. As for Jacksonville Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

As of now, neither Weaver nor Jacksonville Christian Academy have any future games scheduled.
