Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Paxton). They put the hurt on the Bethlehem Wildcats with a sharp 18-6 victory on Tuesday. That's more bragging rights for the Bobcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Trevor Varnum was a standout: he went 3-for-5 with three stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Phillip Bearden, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles.

Paxton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .575. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Paxton's record is now 9-6. As for Bethlehem, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season.
