After losing to Pittsburg the last time they met, Derby decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Panthers came out on top in a nail-biter against the Dragons on Saturday, sneaking past 2-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Derby who won the one that mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 22-25, 25-20.

The win got Derby back to even at 11-11. As for Pittsburg, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 17-8 record this season.

Derby didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Kapaun Mt. Carmel on the 4th. As for Pittsburg, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Labette County on the 7th.
