Soccer Game Preview: Sumner vs. Newsome

The Sumner Stingrays will head out on the road to challenge the Newsome Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sumner is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.

Sumner is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand Durant a 2-0 shutout. Two seems to be a good number for the Stingrays as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of goals in their previous game.

Meanwhile, Newsome beat Alonso 2-0 on Tuesday.

Sumner's victory bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Newsome, they have also been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3-1 record this season.

Sumner skirted past Newsome 2-1 in their previous meeting last Tuesday. Will Sumner repeat their success, or does Newsome have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
