Wimberley extended their home winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Paul Gumbert-Mendoza. Everything went the Wimberley Texans' way against the Navarro Panthers on Friday as the Wimberley Texans made off with a 60-38 win thanks in part to Gumbert-Mendoza, who almost dropped a triple-double with 18 points, nine rebounds, and nine assists. The matchup was his tenth in a row with at least 16 points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Cedar Bruner, who posted six points. What's more, he also racked up two steals, the most he's had since back in February of 2024.

Wimberley's victory bumped their record up to 24-8. As for Navarro, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 11-17 record this season.

Wimberley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 63-57 defeat against Davenport on the 11th. Navarro has also already played their next match (against Fredericksburg), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
