Black Hills has gone 6-1 against Shelton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Black Hills Wolves just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Shelton Highclimbers at 7:00 p.m. Black Hills has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the match with three straight losses, while Shelton will come in with four straight victories.

On Monday, Black Hills opened the new year with a less-than-successful 58-46 defeat to Rainier.

While Shelton didn't have the best season last year (they finished 1-12), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They walked away with a 63-53 win over Kingston last Friday. Given the Highclimbers' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 95th, while the Buccaneers are ranked 257th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Shelton pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.3 points per game. As for Black Hills, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.

Black Hills was able to grind out a solid win over Shelton when the teams last played back in January of 2024, winning 48-35. Will Black Hills repeat their success, or does Shelton have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
