Baseball Game Preview: San Angelo Central Bobcats vs. Midland Legacy Rebels

San Angelo Central is 1-9 against Midland Legacy since April of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The San Angelo Central Bobcats will be playing at home against the Midland Legacy Rebels at 4:30 p.m.

San Angelo Central came up short against Midland Legacy on Thursday, falling 14-1.

For Midland Legacy's part, they let Andres Cordero and Caiden Olivas run wild. Cordero scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances, while Olivas went 2-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. What's more, Cordero posted two hits, the most he's had over his last six matches. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Valenzuela, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Midland Legacy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .533. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The win (which was Midland Legacy's fourth in a row) raised their record to 16-8-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for San Angelo Central, their loss dropped their record down to 10-6.
