Baseball Recap: Fayette Comes Up Short

Fayette was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They came up short against the Eugene Eagles, falling 16-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Falcons of the 14-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2023.

Fayette saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaleb Friebe, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base.

Fayette's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Eugene, they pushed their record up to 6-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Looking ahead, Fayette will head out on the road to take on Slater at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The last four games the Wildcats have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Eugene, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Eldon at 5:00 p.m.
