Baseball Recap: Marshall Comes Up Short

Marshall was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 28th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 18-0 to the Guthrie Bluejays. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bluejays this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 19-0 on Tuesday.

Marshall's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Guthrie, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 10-0.

Looking ahead, Marshall will venture away from home to face off against Northwest Classen at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. Northwest Classen is coming into the game with four straight defeats at home, meaning Marshall will have to defend against a team out to give their home crowd a much needed win. As for Guthrie, they will face off against Perry at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
