Basketball Recap: Alakanuk Comes Up Short

Alakanuk was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They were outmatched by the Tri-Valley Warriors and fell 75-47.

It was another big night for Owen Jusczak, who almost dropped a double-double with 30 points and nine boards for Tri-Valley. The dominant performance gave Jusczak a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Reid Williams, who went 5-for-9 to rack up 14 points and four steals.

Alakanuk's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Tri-Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.

Alakanuk does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Tri-Valley, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 68-59 victory against Chevak on the 14th.
