Football Game Preview: New Hampstead Phoenix vs. Ware County Gators

The New Hampstead Phoenix will take on the Ware County Gators at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. New Hampstead is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.

New Hampstead is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They received a blow on Friday as they fell 38-24 to Perry.

Meanwhile, Ware County faced Benedictine in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Gators fell just short of the Cadets by a score of 30-27. The loss was the Gators' first of the season.

New Hampstead will have to keep a close watch on Jamario Rice and Isaiah White, a pair of players who had a big impact on Ware County's prior game. Rice picked up 82 receiving yards and two TDs, while White threw for 138 yards and three touchdowns.

New Hampstead's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Ware County, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1.
