Baseball Recap: Entrepreneur Takes a Loss

The Panthers had lost seven straight at home dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 0-9 to make it eight. They lost 15-1 to the Entrepreneur Bulls. If the Panthers were looking for revenge after losing 20-0 to the Bulls when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Christian Mata was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with five stolen bases and one run.

As for the Bulls, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-8. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

On the Bulls' side, Rudy Rubio made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out 12 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Rubio has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. He is becoming a predictor of the Bulls' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 0-8 when he doesn't).

In other batting news, the Bulls got a massive performance out of Ethan Escudero, who went 3-for-4 with two triples, four RBI, and one run. Those triples marked the first that Escudero has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Fabian Rodriguez, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

The Panthers have already played their next matchup (against the Cardinals), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for the Bulls, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 0-0 win against the Titans on the 26th.
