Baseball Recap: Red Springs Takes a Loss

Red Springs fell victim to Fairmont and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Golden Tornadoes, falling 16-0. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Golden Tornadoes this season, with their most recent defeat being a 10-1 loss back in March.

Red Springs dropped their record down to 6-14 with the loss, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Fairmont, the victory got them back to even at 11-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Red Springs will face off against West Bladen at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Knights' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Red Devils' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Fairmont, they will head out on the road to challenge Clinton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
