Basketball Game Preview: DMLK Panthers vs. DSST: Green Valley Ranch Raptors

The DMLK Panthers will challenge the DSST: Green Valley Ranch Raptors at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. DMLK will be strutting in after a victory while DSST: Green Valley Ranch will be coming in after a defeat.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, DMLK turned things around against DSST: Conservatory Green on Tuesday. They snuck past the Hornets with a 31-25 win.

DMLK's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tay Hugley, who posted 13 points. Another player making a difference was Dez DIAZ, who had eight points.

Meanwhile, DSST: Green Valley Ranch was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a 46-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of KIPP Denver Collegiate. One positive for the Raptors, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

DSST: Green Valley Ranch's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for DMLK, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-4.
