Recap: St. Monica Academy Crusaders vs. More Knights
The St. Monica Academy Crusaders pushed their score all the way to 70 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 79-70 hit to the loss column at the hands of More. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game on Thursday (67), St. Monica Academy still had to take the loss.
Tim Selway continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for More, dropping a double-double on 32 points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Selway has scored all season. Anthony Selway was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with six rebounds.
St. Monica Academy has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-9 record this season. As for More, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Monica Academy will take on Desert Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Desert Christian has now lost 11 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 2. As for More, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against North Valley Baptist at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully North Valley Baptist focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Thursday.
