Basketball Recap: Ware Shoals Takes a Loss

Ware Shoals was the 52-50 winner over Dixie when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Ware Shoals Hornets took a 78-74 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dixie Hornets.

Defeat or not, Ware Shoals got some senior leadership from Jayce Medlin and Jace Stewart. Medlin posted 29 points in addition to eight rebounds and seven steals, while Stewart put up 25 points and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Stewart has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Charles Callaham, who earned eight points.

Ware Shoals' loss dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Dixie, their record now sits at 14-9.

Coming up, Ware Shoals will challenge Calhoun Falls Charter at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Ware Shoals is facing Calhoun Falls Charter at the right time seeing as Calhoun Falls Charter is stuck on a six-game losing streak. Dixie does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
