Basketball Recap: Compass Charter Picks Up Second Consecutive Win

If Idaho City wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Compass Charter, they should've done a better job of containing Kellen Walbuck. The Compass Charter Aviators blew past the Idaho City Wildcats, posting a 77-31 win thanks in part to Walbuck, who went 11 of 13 on his way to 26 points along with seven steals and six rebounds. Those 26 points gave him a new career-high.

The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Horn, who posted eight points and four steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played.

The victory made it two in a row for Compass Charter and bumps their season record up to 10-5. As for Idaho City, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Compass Charter will take on North Star at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Compass Charter is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.3 points per game this season. As for Idaho City, they will square off against Rimrock at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
