Baseball Recap: Tuslaw Gets the Win

Tuslaw posted their closest win since April 24, 2024 on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 victory over the Central Christian Comets. That's more bragging rights for the Mustangs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Cam Stevens made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in earned runs (zero). He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

In other batting news, Keenan Kinsey was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024.

Coming up, Tuslaw is headed away from home for the first time to challenge Minerva at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Central Christian, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Aquinas at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
