Basketball Recap: North Creek Comes Up Short

North Creek lost against Lake Washington back in December of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The North Creek Jaguars lost 66-46 to the Lake Washington Kangaroos. While losing is never fun, the Jaguars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 82nd, while the Kangaroos are ranked first).

When it comes to explaining why North Creek lost, don't look at Seirat Bhullar. Despite the final result, she posted 21 points. With that strong performance, Bhullar is now averaging an impressive 15.2 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison McGill, who put up nine points.

North Creek's loss dropped their record down to 17-8. As for Lake Washington, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 21-4 record this season.

Coming up, North Creek will head out to challenge Glacier Peak at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Glacier Peak's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven contests. As for Lake Washington, they will be playing at home against Woodinville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Woodinville is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.1 points per game this season.
