The Christian Learning Center Mustangs's game on Thursday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They had just enough and edged Clinton Christian Academy out 51-49. For Christian Learning Center, this counts as revenge for the 63-55 defeat Clinton Christian Academy walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Christian Learning Center to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lane Milburn, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Easton Rhodes, who scored 15 points along with 6 rebounds.
When it comes to explaining why Clinton Christian Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jared Wisniewski. Despite the final result, he scored 13 points along with 8 steals and 7 rebounds. Wisniewski scored a full 26.5% of Clinton Christian Academy's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Parker Lowe was another key contributor, scoring 7 points.
Christian Learning Center's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Clinton Christian Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.
Christian Learning Center will be playing in front of their home fans against Plaza Heights Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Plaza Heights Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 27 on Friday. As for Clinton Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Center Place at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
