The Hesperia Scorpions will venture away from home to square off against the Burroughs Burros at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Hesperia is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.6 runs per game this season.

Hesperia had taken Serrano down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Thursday. The Scorpions took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Diamondbacks.

Hesperia got a good showing from Blake Gill, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, Hesperia saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cameron Cole, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Burroughs fell victim to Sultana and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sultans. The Burros haven't had much luck with the Sultans recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Hesperia's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Burroughs, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 10-6.

Tuesday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Hesperia hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .331. However, it's not like Burroughs struggles in that department as they've averaged .323. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

Hesperia couldn't quite get it done against Burroughs in their previous meeting back in March as they fell 9-5. Can the Scorpions avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
