Basketball Recap: Damien Takes a Loss

If Damien was riding high fresh off their 89-42 takedown of Upland last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Damien Spartans fell just short of the Etiwanda Eagles by a score of 43-41 on Friday. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 56-39 last Friday.

Damien's loss dropped their record down to 20-10. As for Etiwanda, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-10.

Damien does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Etiwanda, they will head out on the road to square off against Rancho Cucamonga at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Rancho Cucamonga knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 29 matchups -- so hopefully Etiwanda likes a good challenge.
