Basketball Recap: St. Edward Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only St. Edward walked away with it. They managed a 71-65 victory over the Crane Medical Cougars on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Green Wave sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Crane Medical's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sariah Allen, who shot 57% from the field to rack up 19 points. Allen is on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as she's posted one of at least 57% in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Taniya Reynolds, who posted nine points in addition to five assists and five rebounds.

St. Edward's win bumped their record up to 25-8. As for Crane Medical, their defeat dropped their record down to 22-8.

Coming up, St. Edward will take on Johnsburg at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Crane Medical does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
