Basketball Recap: Christian Heritage's Win Ends Six-Game Losing Streak at Home

Christian Heritage came into Tuesday's contest having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 39-29 victory over Longview Christian on Tuesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 41-35 back in December of 2024.

Longview Christian's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Obed Sandel, who posted eight points and five steals. Another player making a difference was Judah Sandel, who put up seven points in addition to nine steals and eight rebounds.

Christian Heritage's win ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-10. As for Longview Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Christian Heritage will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Longview Christian at 7:30 p.m. on February 4th. As for Longview Christian, they will head out on the road to square off against Poetry Community Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
