With a playoff win on the line, Pius XI Catholic rose to the challenge on Friday. They blew past the Shorewood Greyhounds 96-29. The Popes have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 contests by 22 points or more this season.

The win (which was Pius XI Catholic's fourth in a row) raised their record to 20-5. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.5 points on average over those games. As for Shorewood, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 15-12.
