Baseball Recap: Harbor Teacher Comes Up Short

If Harbor Teacher was riding high fresh off their 11-1 takedown of Dorsey last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Monarchs took an 11-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the King/Drew Golden Eagles on Thursday. The Monarchs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Golden Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Harbor Teacher's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for King/Drew, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Harbor Teacher will face off against rival Locke at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, King/Drew is set to take on their familiar foe Fremont at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. The Golden Eagles are on a four-game streak of home wins, the Pathfinders a four-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
