Soccer Game Preview: Monterey vs. Upperman

The Monterey Wildcats will head out to face off against the Upperman Bees at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Monterey has given up an average of 4 goals per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Monterey came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 6-0 to Smith County. Having soared to a lofty four goals in the game before, Monterey's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, Upperman came up short against Bledsoe County on Tuesday and fell 3-1. Upperman have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Upperman's loss dropped their record down to 1-7-1. As for Monterey, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3-1.

Monterey skirted past Upperman 4-3 in their previous meeting two weeks ago. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
