Volleyball Recap: Amherst Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Amherst had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They came out on top against the Loomis Wolves by a score of 2-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Broncos also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Amherst easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-13.

Leading Amherst to victory were Breckyn Layne Veskerna and Kenna Hagan. Layne Veskerna had 15 digs, while Hagan had three digs and three aces. That's the most aces Hagan has posted over her last ten matchups.

Amherst's record is now 16-4. As for Loomis, their defeat ended a four-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-10.

Amherst wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Wilcox-Hildreth on the 2nd. As for Loomis, they will be playing at home against Hershey on Tuesday.
