Red Mountain let Saige Peters and Payton Westra run wild. Peters fired off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 2-for-4, while Westra went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four runs, and two RBI. Westra is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as she's now launched at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Kayla Jones, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Red Mountain lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now launched at least two home runs in three consecutive matches.
Mesa's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Red Mountain, their win bumped their record up to 17-4-1.
