Basketball Recap: Sparrows Point Comes Up Short

Sparrows Point and Dunbar squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Sparrows Point had to settle for second. They fell 41-30 to the Dunbar Poets. The Pointers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Poets apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2020.

Sparrows Point's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Dunbar, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.

While Sparrows Point had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
