Basketball Recap: Memphis Takes a Loss

Memphis lost against Ubly back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Memphis Yellowjackets came up short against the Ubly Bearcats, falling 41-15. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Yellowjackets have suffered against the Bearcats since February 1, 2019.

Memphis' loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Ubly, their victory ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-8-1.

Memphis and Ubly could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings. Memphis will face off against Brown City at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday down 261 places (492 vs. 231). Similarly, Ubly (ranked 473rd) will meet Kingston (ranked 91st) at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
