Recap: The Carmel School Wildcats vs. Grove Christian School Falcons
The Carmel School Wildcats lost against the Grove Christian School Falcons back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Carmel School ended up on the wrong side of a tough 31-11 walloping at the hands of Grove Christian School. The Carmel School has struggled against Grove Christian School recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Grove Christian School to victory, but perhaps none more so than Emily Hopkins, who scored six points along with eight rebounds and seven steals. That's the first time this season that Hopkins pulled down eight or more rebounds. Ore Oyefuga was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with three steals.
The Carmel School's defeat was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-2. As for Grove Christian School, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
The Carmel School won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Quantico at 4:30 p.m. on December 13th. As for Grove Christian School, they will be playing at home against Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
