Baseball Recap: Tipton Christian Academy Takes a Loss

After flying high against Ripley on Saturday, Tipton Christian Academy came back down to earth. The Tipton Christian Academy Eagles fell just short of the Ripley Tigers by a score of 14-13 on Saturday. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tigers earlier this season, when they won 13-2.

Austin Tucker was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in three of his six plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Neylan Walker, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Tipton Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Ripley, with the win, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tipton Christian Academy will take on Bradford at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Ripley, they will venture away from home to take on Jackson North Side at 6:05 p.m. on Friday.
