William Hendricks put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in March on Wednesday. He struck out two batters over 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

Even though Hendricks couldn't lead Leland over Willow Glen, he won't have to wait long to try again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Chargers will be headed into this one with a sizable disadvantage in the rankings (they're ranked 420 places lower in California), but they're not letting that get them down.
