Basketball Recap: Booker T. Washington Comes Up Short

Booker T. Washington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 18th straight defeat dating back to last season. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 71-17 to the Churchland Truckers, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. While losing is never fun, the Mighty Bookers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 328th, while the Truckers are ranked 50th).

Booker T. Washington's loss dropped their record down to 0-16. As for Churchland, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Booker T. Washington will square off against Norview at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Norview knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Booker T. Washington likes a good challenge. As for Churchland, they will head out on the road to challenge Lake Taylor at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
