Football Recap: Delavan-Darien Comes Up Short at Home Against Elkhorn

Delavan-Darien unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost to the Elkhorn Elks at home by a 28-14 margin on Friday. The Comets have struggled against the Elks recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the loss, Delavan-Darien had strong showings from Quintin Arizola, who threw for 310 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and Kaden Garbe, who picked up 134 receiving yards and one score.

Coming up, Delavan-Darien will challenge Turner at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Elkhorn, they will take on Cedarburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
