Softball Recap: Heritage Christian's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

Heritage Christian and Duarte squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Heritage Christian had to settle for second. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Falcons. The Warriors were red-hot at the plate heading into the contest (they scored no less than ten runs in the four matches prior), but the Falcons' pitchers proved too tough.

Heritage Christian moved to 15-6 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak. As for Duarte, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season.

Heritage Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Duarte, they will square off against Santa Monica at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday. The Vikings' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Falcons' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
