Edgewood is a perfect 4-0 against Shakamak since May of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Mustangs will welcome the Lakers at 10:00 a.m. Edgewood's pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so Shakamak's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Edgewood's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They walked away with a 5-0 win over Northview. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Edgewood saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was SYDNEY AUSTIN, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Shakamak got their first taste of in-conference action on Friday and they started things off strong. Everything went their way against Eastern Greene as they made off with a 12-4 win. The game was the first time the Lakers have beaten the Thunderbirds on their field since April 22, 2019.

Shakamak's victory bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Edgewood, their win bumped their record up to 10-4.

Edgewood took their victory against Shakamak when the teams last played back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 9-1 score. Do the Mustangs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lakers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
