Softball Recap: Freeman Comes Up Short

Godwin hit Freeman with a nine-run seventh inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Mavericks lost 13-1 to the Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-0 on May 2nd.

Freeman has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season. As for Godwin, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 19-0.

As of now, neither Freeman nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
