Volleyball Recap: Portage Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Portage lost against Cambria Heights back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Mustangs came up short against the Highlanders, falling 3-0. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Portage was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-23, 25-13.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cambria Heights to victory, but perhaps none more so than Elena Eckenrode, who had 21 digs and two aces. Another player making a difference was Jordan Westrick, who had eight digs and two aces.

Portage now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Cambria Heights, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Portage will square off against rival Conemaugh Township at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Cambria Heights is set to face off against their familiar foe Northern Cambria at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
