Basketball Recap: Forest Hills Northern Comes Up Short

Forest Hills Northern was the 60-57 winner over Traverse City West when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Forest Hills Northern Huskies took a 65-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Traverse City West Titans. While losing is never fun, the Huskies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 200th, while the Titans are ranked 25th).

Forest Hills Northern dropped their record down to 4-9 with the defeat, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Traverse City West, the victory (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 12-1.

Forest Hills Northern will take on Thornapple Kellogg at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Traverse City West, they will be playing at home against Sault Area at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
