Volleyball Recap: Mesquite Extends Home Winning Streak to Five + How To Watch

Mesquite barely beat Saguaro the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Wildcats put the hurt on the Sabercats with a sharp 3-0 win on Monday. The Wildcats not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since September 17th (when they won 3-0).

The match came down to the wire multiple times:two sets needed extra rallies to declare a winner. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 27-25, 26-24.

Brooklyn Allen paced Mesquite's offense, picking up nine kills. Allen got some help from Kate Barsetti and her 25 assists. Finally, Meredith Allen kept Mesquite's defense grounded, leading the team with seven blocks.

Mesquite pushed their record up to 19-5 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Saguaro, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season.

Mesquite has already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Marcos de Niza on the 1st. As for Saguaro, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-2 loss against Cactus Shadows on the 1st.
