Walden Grove is 9-1 against Rio Rico since January of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Walden Grove Red Wolves will face off against the Rio Rico Hawks at 6:00 p.m.

Walden Grove is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to six goals on Monday, they were much more limited against Catalina Foothills on Wednesday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Falcons. The contest was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Red Wolves couldn't quite close it out.

Meanwhile, Rio Rico kept a clean sheet against Sahuaro on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Cougars with a sharp 5-0 win. The high-scoring effort was just what the Hawks needed considering they were shutout in their previous match.

Walden Grove now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Rio Rico, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Walden Grove came out on top in a nail-biter against Rio Rico in their previous meeting back in January, sneaking past 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Walden Grove since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
