Thomson is 3-0 against Glenn Hills since January of 2023, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Thomson Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against the Glenn Hills Spartans at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Thomson has four straight victories, Glenn Hills has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Thomson can now show off 11 landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Tuesday. They blew past Westside 87-16 at home. Thomson's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
It was another big night for Ty?Leishiah Latimore, who dropped a triple-double on 31 points, ten rebounds, and 12 steals. Latimore is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Dalysa Gilmore, who scored 14 points along with eight steals and five rebounds.
Glenn Hills suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Friday. They were outmatched by Butler on the road and fell 51-24. While losing is never fun, Glenn Hills can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 280th, while Butler is ranked 82nd).
Thomson is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-2 record this season. As for Glenn Hills, they dropped their record down to 7-7 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Everything came up roses for Thomson against Glenn Hills when the teams last played on January 2nd as the team secured a 71-12 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Thomson since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
