Football Game Preview: Bishop Feehan Shamrocks vs. Franklin Panthers

The Bishop Feehan Shamrocks are taking a road trip to challenge the Franklin Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bishop Feehan is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games.

If Bishop Feehan beats Franklin with 35 points on Friday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. The Shamrocks managed a 35-30 win over Bishop Fenwick on Friday. Given the Shamrocks' advantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts football rankings (they are ranked 16th, while the Crusaders are ranked 87th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

It was another big night for Owen Mordas, who threw for 332 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 13.8 yards per attempt, and also punched in a pair of scores on the ground. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in rushing touchdowns (two). Xavier Baker was another key player, rushing for 105 yards and one TD on only 13 carries.

Meanwhile, Franklin got the win against Attleboro on Friday by a conclusive 27-6. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Bombardiers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Bishop Feehan's record now sits at 5-1. As for Franklin, their record is now 4-2.
