Volleyball Recap: Liberal Bulldogs vs. Sheldon Panthers
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Jasper, Liberal was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over the Sheldon Panthers. That's more bragging rights for the Bulldogs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Liberal was: they took every set by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-5, 25-9.
Liberal can attribute much of their success to Libby Stebbins, who had ten digs. Stebbins is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in the last eight games she's played dating back to last season.
Liberal was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 18 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.
Liberal's win bumped their record up to 12-15. As for Sheldon, they moved to 3-16 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
After both having extra time off, Liberal and Rich Hill will shake off the cobwebs and challenge one another at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Sheldon does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
