Basketball Recap: Sandhills/Thedford Takes a Loss

Sandhills/Thedford suffered their closest loss since January 3rd on Saturday. They fell just short of the Brady Eagles by a score of 46-43. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Brady's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ella Lydic, who posted 11 points. That's the most points Lydic has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Payton Stienike, who put up 15 points and five rebounds.

This is the second loss in a row for Sandhills/Thedford and nudges their season record down to 11-7. As for Brady, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sandhills/Thedford has already played their next match (against Burwell), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Brady will challenge Wallace at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Brady is facing Wallace at the right time seeing as Wallace is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
