Basketball Recap: Ryle Raiders vs. Conner Cougars
Ryle fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They walked away with a 55-47 win over the Conner Cougars on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Raiders also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2024.

Leading Ryle to victory were Jayden (Jay) Mcclain and Jaelyn Jones. (Jay) Mcclain dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 boards, while Jones almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine rebounds. (Jay) Mcclain has been hot, having also posted two or more blocks the last six times she's played. Anna Hay was another key player, putting up six points.
Ryle's victory bumped their record up to 6-11. As for Conner, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-12.
Ryle didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 48-47 win against DuPont Manual on the 25th. As for Conner, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Bryan Station at 6:30 p.m.
