Basketball Recap: Griffin Morrison Key Part of Team Effort in Huskies Win

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but High Point Christian Academy ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They skirted past the Reimer Road Baptist Christian Golden Eagles 45-43.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead High Point Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Griffin Morrison, who posted ten points and six steals. Another player making a difference was Curtis Garber, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 22 rebounds.

Reimer Road Baptist Christian's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaiden Blubaugh, who earned eight points in addition to 14 boards and six blocks. With that strong performance, Blubaugh is now averaging an impressive 2.5 blocks per game. Dale Highsmith was another key player, going 5-for-9 to rack up 14 points.

The victory got High Point Christian Academy back to even at 1-1. As for Reimer Road Baptist Christian, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.

High Point Christian Academy has already played their next game, a 44-39 win against Faith Christian Academy on the 28th. As for Reimer Road Baptist Christian, they will face off against Wooster Christian at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
