            Softball Preview: Bothell Cougars vs. Liberty Patriots        
        
		
        
        
            The Bothell Cougars will square off against the Liberty Patriots at 6:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. Bothell has given up an average of 7.7  runs per game this season, but Wednesday's  game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Bothell is headed into Wednesday's   matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game  on Friday. They took  a  12-9 hit to the loss column at the hands of Juanita.
  Kolbi Schmer and  Noelle Solvang did some serious damage despite the final result:  Schmer  went 3-for-4 with one  home run and three  RBI, while  Solvang  went 2-for-4 with one  home run and three  RBI. That  home run marked the first that  Solvang has  launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Hadley Smith, who  went 2-for-3 with two  runs, one  double,  and one  RBI.
Meanwhile, Liberty came up short against Redmond on Monday and fell  7-2. The Patriots have struggled against the Mustangs recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.
  Emi Connell made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  went a perfect 2-for-2 with one  home run and two  RBI.
 Bothell's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Liberty, their loss dropped their record down to 9-9.
 Bothell was able to grind out a solid  victory over Liberty in their previous matchup  on April 2nd, winning  6-1. Do  the Cougars have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Patriots turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
